Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026 · applies to letterderby.com and the LetterDerby Discord app

Short version: LetterDerby has no accounts, sets no tracking cookies, and doesn't sell or share your data with data brokers. We store the minimum needed to run a multiplayer game.

What we store

Chat

Room chat is visible to everyone in the room, stored only while the room exists (max 24h of inactivity), and never used for anything else. Hosts can remove players from their rooms.

Who we share with

Infrastructure only: Vercel (hosting), Upstash (game database), and Discord (when you use the Discord app). Word definitions are looked up server-side, so dictionary providers never see who you are. If we ever add advertising, it will appear only outside of active rounds and this policy will be updated first.

Children

LetterDerby is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13.
